Be the First Responder Your Community Deserves
When emergencies happen, help doesn’t always arrive fast enough — especially in mass casualty incidents, accidents, or acts of targeted violence. Being prepared to act in those first few minutes can mean the difference between life and death.
This free course is designed to teach lifesaving trauma care skills that anyone can use — no medical background required. Whether you carry a firearm, work in a public-facing role, or just want to be ready to protect your loved ones and chosen family, Trauma First Aid empowers you to become a calm, competent first responder when it matters most.
Recognize - You’ll learn how to quickly assess life-threatening injuries, prioritize care under stress, and treat critical bleeding - even in chaotic situations.
Respond - We’ll teach you how to take fast, effective action using field-tested techniques like tourniquet application, wound packing, and chest seal placement. You’ll get hands-on practice with the tools you need to stabilize someone until EMS arrives.
Reassure - First aid isn’t just physical — it’s emotional. You’ll gain the confidence to offer calm reassurance in a crisis, manage the scene, and act as a steady presence when fear and uncertainty take hold.
For Our Community, By Our Community
This class is taught in a judgment-free, inclusive environment, where LGBTQIA+ people — especially transgender and nonbinary folks — can feel safe learning skills that are too often gatekept or ignored.
Whether you’re protecting yourself, your friends at a pride event, your students, your kids, or your chosen family, these tools are for you. Your presence in an emergency could save a life — and that life might be someone you love.
