The Annual Fund Manager is a pivotal member of Free Arts' expanding Fundraising Team tasked with supporting the creation and execution of engaging fundraising strategies aimed at boosting individual giving revenue. Free Arts Annual Fund Manager will acquire, serve, and retain annual fund donors giving monthly, through the QFCO tax credit, or at a low-mid- level as defined by the organization. This role will work in partnership with the wider development team to lead and create effective communications and stewardship of annual fund donors. They will also be a pivotal part of planning and executing prospecting efforts to bring in new donors and to upgrade existing annual fund donors. The Philanthropy Manager reports to the Director of Philanthropy and collaborates closely with the Director of Marketing and VP of Philanthropy.

- Works with Director of Philanthropy to prospect, segment, and upgrade QFCO donors to give above their tax credit limit
- Encourages low-level donors to increase their giving in support of Free Arts’ mission and programs through appropriate engagement.
- Works with contracted direct mail service to create compelling campaigns for annual funding. Integrates communications between digital and mail.

- Prepares and provides quality assurance for mailing and donor lists for appeals, reports, and events.
- Consistently maintain donor, prospect, and fundraising activity information in our customer relationship management system (currently Salesforce) and leverage this information to track progress, monitor gaps, and adjust strategy and approach

Requirements
- Three years or more of practical work experience in nonprofit fundraising or commensurate experience.
- Have a solid foundation in best practices of development and fundraising
- Excellent interpersonal skills, good oral and written communications skills and the ability to relate and form relationships with Board members, donors and prospects.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Track record of meeting and exceeding fundraising or sales goals and/or supporting the management of a portfolio of donors
- Must be able to have access to and provide reliable transportation for self. An AZ driver’s license and proof of insurance is required for qualifying mileage reimbursements.
- Must be able to obtain and hold an Arizona Department of Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- This person frequently interacts with staff, board members, funders, and constituents about the programs and services of Free Arts at an executive level. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualities and experience in addition to the years of experience are highly desirable:
- Ability to read and write in Spanish.
- Previous experience with Salesforce or similar CRM or donor management software
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time using a computer.
- Must be able to identify and assess written materials including fine print.
- Must be able to position self to maintain files, supplies, document boxes, and other materials up to ten pounds as needed.
Environmental Requirements
- Must be able to regularly work in a well-lit, temperature-controlled work area.
- Must be able to work a mix of weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
- Must be able to work in an open area with other employees and volunteers 80% of the time.
